Eight Olivet College student-athletes named to 2006 All-MIAA football teams
Eight Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the 2006 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) football teams. Seniors Ryan Adams, Ken Lackscheide and DeShaun Warren along with juniors Nate Hughes and DeRan Thomas earned first-team All-MIAA honors. Juniors James Boyd and Marc Miller along with sophomore Carl Mulder earned second-team All-MIAA honors. Warren was also added to the list as a second-team return specialist.

Football team ends season with 43-24 win at Kalamazoo
The Olivet College football team defeated Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Kalamazoo College, 43-24, in its season-finale this afternoon at Angell Field in Kalamazoo. With the win, the Comets end their season with a 6-4 overall record and tied for second-place in the MIAA with a 5-2 record.

Football team falls to Hope, 16-8
In a defensive battle, the Olivet College football team fell to Hope College, 16-8, this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex. With the win, Hope (6-3, 6-0 MIAA) secures the 2006 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association championship, while the Comets (5-4, 4-2 MIAA) drop into a tie for second-place in the MIAA standings.

The Olivet College football team defeated Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Alma College, 28-24, today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. With the win, the Comets beat the Scots for the first time since Oct. 12, 1996.
