STUNT team defeats Concordia-Ann Arbor and Aquinas

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College STUNT team posted matching 10-4 victories over Concordia University-Ann Arbor and Aquinas College tonight at the Cutler Event Center.

Against Concordia-Ann Arbor, the Comets took a 2-0 lead after the first quarter in partner stunts. The second quarter saw Olivet stretched its lead with three points in pyramids and tosses. Both teams scored two points in the third quarter in jumps and tumbling. In the fourth quarter, the Comets scored three points to two points for the Cardinals in the team routines.

Aquinas and Olivet played a modified game, with only two routines in each quarter. The Comets scored both points in the first quarter in partner stunts and second quarter in pyramids and tosses compared to zero points scored by the Saints. In the third quarter, Olivet and Aquinas tied with each school earning two points in jumps and tumbling. In the fourth quarter, the Comets outscored the Saints, 4-2, in the team routines.

Olivet is back in action Saturday for two games at Muskingum (Ohio) University. The Comets face the host Muskies at 9 a.m., followed by a game against Hiram (Ohio) College at approximately 10:30 a.m.
