- Olivet took a 1-0 lead in the top of first inning. Freshman Braden Abbott struck out but reached base when the third pitch was wild. He went to second after junior Gabriel Kirck was hit by a pitch. Abbott came around to score on sophomore Mason Cook's double into shallow left field.
- The Bulldogs used a solo home run to even the score in the second inning. Adrian plated the go-ahead run in the third before scoring an insurance run in the fourth. The Bulldogs plated three runs in the sixth.
- The Comets got two runs back in the eighth inning. Adrian capped its scoring with two runs in the home half of the eighth.
- Olivet was limited to four hits compared to 12 for the Bulldogs. The Comets' lone extra-base hit was Cook's double. The other hits were singles by Abbott and fellow freshmen Nate Droste and Isaac Moore. Senior Ryan Upton threw seven and two-thirds innings to be charged with the loss.
- Jakob Charles, Edward Wagner and Easton Rogers each had two hits for the Bulldogs. Wagner collected three RBI. Don Goodes picked-up the pitching win.
- The Comets grabbed the early 1-0 lead with a run in the first inning. Abbott hit a double to lead off the game, advanced to third on a flyout and came around to score on Kirck's double. Adrian tied the game with a run in its half of the first and went ahead with a run in the second inning.
- Olivet regained the lead in the third when Kirck blasted a no-doubt two-run home run over the right field fence. The Bulldogs scored 12 unanswered runs over the next five innings to post the 14-3 run-rule win.
- At the plate, Kirck went 4-for-4 with a single, double and home run. He drove in the three Comet runs. Sophomore Ethan VanLannen had two hits, including a triple. On the mound, junior Andrew Vendzuh suffered the loss.
