KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Olivet College baseball team lost the final game of a three-game Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) series to Kalamazoo College, 12-1, this afternoon at Woodworth Field.

- The Hornets pushed across two runs in the home half of the first inning.
- Olivet got one run back in the second inning on back-to-back doubles by junior Sylas Woll and freshman Mason Cook.
- Kalamazoo tallied 10 unanswered runs – seven in the second and three in the fifth – to end the game early due to the 10-run mercy rule.
- Olivet finished the game with just four hits, the two doubles in the second as well as a triple by senior Matt Hewitt and single by freshman Ben Helgevold.
- Sophomore Keegan Kuha lasted only an inning and one-third after giving up eight runs on four hits.
- Senior Max Daust pitched three and two-thirds innings of relief, allowing four runs on four hits.
- Senior Dayton Reigier tossed a scoreless inning.
- Max Gordon was on base in each of his four plate appearances, as he recorded three hits and a walk.
- Blake Bean was hit by a pitch twice, hit a three-run home run and scored three runs.
- Doug Propson had two hits, including a double.
- Harrison Poeszat collected three RBI.
- Propson and Lukas Bolton each tallied two RBI.
- Joe Wade earned the pitching win after throwing the first three innings.
- Three relief pitchers combined to give up two hits over the final four innings.
- Olivet heads to Illinois Tuesday for a non-conference game against Elmhurst (Ill.) University. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET from Butterfield Park.
