ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College baseball team concluded a three-game Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) series against Adrian College with two losses, 11-0 and 9-5, this afternoon at Nicolay Field.

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College baseball team concluded a three-game Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) series against Adrian College with two losses, 11-0 and 9-5, this afternoon at Nicolay Field.

- The Bulldogs plated one run in the first inning.
- After the Comets got the first two outs in the second, 10 straight Adrian players reached base and eight came around to score.
- Adrian added to its lead with a two-run home run in the third inning.
- Olivet totaled five hits.
- The lone extra base hit was a double by freshman Ethan VanLannen.
- The rest of the hits were singles by seniors Matt Fisher and Matt Hewitt, sophomore Gabriel Kirck and junior Sylas Woll.
- Senior Hunter Henson suffered the pitching loss, as he surrendered all 11 runs on 13 hits over three innings.
- Freshman Wyatt Leland tossed three scoreless innings of relief.
- AJ Miranda was 4-for-4 with two doubles, one home run and four RBI.
- David Kedrow and Gus Weaks each had two hits.
- On the mound, Joe Toth picked-up the complete game win.
- Olivet took a 1-0 lead when Kirck hit a solo home run in the first inning.
- The Bulldogs used a double and single to score a run in their half of the first.
- The Comets grabbed a 3-1 lead with a pair of runs in the second inning.
- Adrian regained the lead with a four-run fourth inning.
- Olivet leveled the score with two runs in the seventh.
- The Bulldogs answered with thee runs in their half of the seventh before plating an insurance run in the eighth.
- Olivet tallied 10 hits, as four players posted a multi-hit game.
- Kirck, Woll, senior Ben Compton and freshman Blake Hawkins had two hits apiece.
- Both of Woll's and Hawkins' hits were doubles.
- Hawkins scored a team-best two runs.
- Senior Max Daust started on the mound but did not factor in the decision. He allowed five runs on six hits, while striking out five over the first four innings.
- Sophomore Alex Rose was tagged with the pitching loss after yielding three runs on four hits and two walks over two and two-thirds innings of relief.
- Don Goodes registered three of the 12 Adrian hits. Two of the hits were doubles.
- Keith Cardentey and Dylan Johnson each recorded two hits.
- Kedrow and Johnson collected two RBI apiece.
- Brandon Schulze earned the win and Jacob Hanoian picked-up the save.
- Olivet takes the beginning of next week off for spring semester final examinations and is back in action Saturday for a home doubleheader against Kalamazoo College. First pitch at the Cutler Athletic Complex is at 1 p.m.
