McIntosh named to 2006 All-MIAA second-team
Olivet College junior catcher Nick McIntosh (Petoskey) has been named to the 2006 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) second-team for baseball.
Olivet College junior catcher Nick McIntosh (Petoskey) has been named to the 2006 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) second-team for baseball. All-MIAA honors are based on a player's statistics during league play.
McIntosh led the team and ranked among the MIAA leaders in batting average (.382), hits (34), doubles (6), home runs (3), RBI (19), slugging percentage (.551) and on-base percentage (440). He had a .990 fielding percentage, committing one error in 105 chances.
Juniors Brad Dragicevich (Kalamazoo/Central), Derek Ott (Kawkawlin/Bay City Western), Chris Shelhart (Rolling Meadows, Ill./St. Viator) and Elliot Wilcox (Mattawan) and senior Jonathon Van Son (Macomb/H.W. Notre Dame) earned coaches' honorable mention honors.
The Comets ended the 2006 campaign with a 12-25 overall record and 9-19 MIAA mark.
