The Olivet College baseball team dropped a 12-3 decision to Baldwin-Wallace (Ohio) College this morning at the Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida.
The Yellow Jackets (4-2) built a 12-1 lead after six innings and never looked back. The Comets (2-4) scored their final two runs in the eighth inning.
For the game, junior Nick McIntosh (Petoskey) was three-for-four at the plate with a double and two singles. Junior Sean Howard (Charlotte/Potterville) had a double, which scored McIntosh and sophomore Michael Katlin (Charlotte). McIntosh also scored on a sacrifice fly by sophomore Eric Quinn (Fort Gratiot/Port Huron Northern).
On the mound, junior Brad Dragicevich (Kalamazoo/Central) pitched the first six innings, allowing 11 hits and 12 runs. Freshman Joe Lacey (St. Helen/Roscommon) gave up one hit in two innings.
The Comets end their spring break trip with a single nine-inning game tomorrow at 9 a.m. against MacMurray (Ill.) College.
