Olivet places second and seventh at Warrior Classic, Grigg wins men’s individual title

FLINT, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's and women's bowling teams placed second and seventh, respectively, at the Warrior Classic, hosted by Rochester Christian University on November 23 at Richfield Lanes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comet men totaled 6,436 pins to finish second of 12 schools. Indiana Wesleyan University had 6,554 pins to win the team title.
- The Olivet women had a 5,159 total to place seventh of 13 schools. The host Warriors took first with 5,504 pins.
FOR THE COMET MEN
- Sophomore Ryen Grigg was the men's individual champion (of 101 bowlers), with a 1,000 total over four games. In the third game, he bowled a 299, as the 10-pin stayed up on his last ball. Freshman Nicholas Brown also landed a spot on the all-tournament team with a fifth-place finish with an 849 total. His best game was 243. Sophomore Jack Gohlke placed sixth with an 839 total, including a high game of 237.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- Sophomore Kendalyn Wilson finished 14th of 102 bowlers with a 698. Her best game was 205. Freshman Brianna Fowlston recorded a 682 to place 20th. Her high game was 188.

- Olivet returns to the lanes this Saturday, December 7, at the American Heartland Bowling Association #4. The outing is at Thunderbowl I in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
