Bowling teams finish 12th, 5th at AHBA #5
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Olivet College men’s and women’s bowling team teams traveled down to Columbus, Ohio, January 29, for the American Heartland Bowling Association #5, which took place at HP Lanes.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Olivet College men's and women's bowling team teams traveled down to Columbus, Ohio, January 29, for the American Heartland Bowling Association #5, which took place at HP Lanes.
Final Result: Men – 12th of 17 varsity teams; women – 5th of 11 varsity teams
Location: HP Lanes; Columbus, Ohio
Format: 4 regular games, 16 baker games
- Olivet posted a 3,428 total in the four regular games and 2,649 total in the 16 baker games for a 6,007 overall total.
- Junior Brandon Kreiner was the Comets' top bowler, as he finished second of 95 bowlers. He tallied a 905 pin total over the four regular games for a 226.25 average. Kreiner's high game was a 237 in the fourth game. His other three games were 235, 209 and 224.
- Freshman Connor Cameron was next for Olivet, with a 655 total, to place 52nd. His best game was a 216.
- Junior Raymond McLeod was right behind him in 53rd-place 42nd with a 647 total, including a high game of 192 pins.
- Olivet tallied a 3,325 total in the four regular games and 2,585 total in the 16 baker games for a 5,910 grand total.
- Sophomore Isabell Young had the Comets' best total, as she averaged 182.5 6 pins over her five games to place 11th of 66 competitors. Her best score was a 197 in both the first and third games. Young bowled a 190 and 146 in her other two games.
- Bowling in her hometown, sophomore Amber Ralston finished in 16th-place with a 174.0 average. Her scores were 194, 157, 164 and 181.
- Junior Denise Bryce had the 20th-best average at 163.5 pins. Her high was a 199 in the opening game.
- Junior Kaitlyn Meir bowled Olivet's best score with a 218 in the third game. She totaled 634 pins (158.5 average) over the four games to place 29th.
- The Comets compete at the AHBA Championship Saturday, February 5, at the Monroe Sport Center in Monroe, Michigan.
