Bowling teams open season at AHBA Tournaments
CANTON, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s and women’s bowling team team opened their 2021-22 seasons by competing at the first two American Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) Tournaments October 30-31 at Super Bowl in Canton, Michigan.

CANTON, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's bowling team team opened their 2021-22 seasons by competing at the first two American Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) Tournaments October 30-31 at Super Bowl in Canton, Michigan.
Final Result (Saturday, October 30): Men – 15th of 20 varsity teams; women – 12th of 16 varsity teams
Final Result (Sunday, October 31): Men – 12th of 18 varsity teams; women – 11th of 14 varsity teams

- On Saturday, the Comets had 4,301 pins in the team game portion and 1,883 pins in the baker game portion for a 6,184 total. On Sunday, Olivet posted 3,434 pins in the team game portion and 2,833 pins in the baker game portion for a 6,267 total.
- On Saturday, junior Brandon Kreiner placed 14th, as he totaled 1,003 pins in five games for a 200.6 average. Junior Evan Warner was 37th with 896 pins for a 179.2 average.
- On Sunday, Kreiner finished seventh, posting a 216.5 average over four games.
- On Saturday, the Comets totaled 5,772 pins (4,091 in team games and 1,681 in baker games). On Sunday, Olivet had 3,150 pins in the team game portion and 2,407 pins in the baker games for a 5,557 total.
- On Saturday, junior Kaitlyn Meir finished 23rd, as she recorded an 898 total over five games for a 179.6 average. Sophomore Isabell Young was not far behind in 25th, with a 177.4 average (887 pins).
- On Sunday, junior Denise Bryce had the best average at 166.0 (664 pins over four games) to place 44th. Young was one pin behind at 663 (165.75 average).
- Olivet competes Saturday, November 13, at Adrian College Open. The event takes place at the Lenawee Recreation Center in Adrian.
