Javier Smith

Bio

Javier Smith is in his second year as an assistant athletic director at The University of Olivet. He officially began those duties on January 21, 2025.

Smith graduated from Niles High School before coming to Olivet in 2010. He played football at Olivet for three seasons and then worked as a student coach on the team, which won the 2015 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association title.

In 2015, Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in fitness management from Olivet. Upon graduation, he coached football at Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo for one season. Smith then returned to his alma mater, serving as a position coach, recruiter and the equipment coordinator for eight years. Smith is presently working on his master's degree from Olivet.
