Seven athletic teams from The University of Olivet presented MIAA Team GPA award
HUDONSVILLE, Mich. – The 2022-23 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Team GPA award has been presented to seven athletic teams from The University of Olivet. This award is presented annually to the conference teams who post a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average for the entire academic year.

This award is presented annually to the conference teams who post a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average for the entire academic year.
The women's volleyball team had the highest GPA at 3.79, which ranked sixth of all 110 MIAA teams honored. The women's swimming & diving was next with a 3.63 GPA, followed by women's basketball at 3.61 and women's indoor and outdoor track & field teams at 3.58. The women's golf team had a 3.56 GPA and women's soccer team wrapped-up Olivet's honorees with a 3.36 GPA.
OLIVET NOTES:
- The MIAA Team GPA award was presented for the first time in 1998-99. The 2022-23 academic year is the 25th year for the award.
- The women's golf team has received the award the most times of any Olivet athletic team at 19, including the last 16 years.
- The women's swimming & diving team is next as an 18-time recipient.
- The women's outdoor track & field team has been honored 15 times.
- The women's basketball team has earned this honor 13 times.
- The women's soccer and women's volleyball teams are both 12-time recipients. The soccer has a streak of 12 straight years, while volleyball's streak is at six years.
- The women's indoor track & field team has received the honor seven of the eight years which the MIAA has sponsored the sport.
- This year's GPA for women's basketball (3.61) and women's volleyball (3.79) are the highest in school history for each sport.
