Albaugh and Brown qualify for 2022 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Olivet College senior Lillian Albaugh and junior Jordan Brown have qualified for the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Championships next Thursday-Saturday, May 26-28, at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

Albaugh is the No. 21 seed in the shot put after posting a school-record 44 feet, 7 inch mark at the University of Saint Francis (Ill.) Last Chance Meet. She makes a return trip to the outdoor national championships, as she placed 11th in 2019. Ironically, the championships were also at the SPIRE Institute. The shot put competition will take place Friday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Brown is tied for the eighth-fastest time in Division III this spring after running a school-record time of 47.42 seconds at yesterday's Augustana (Ill.) College Twilight Meet. The 400-meter preliminaries will be on the track Friday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. The top nine runners will advance to Saturday's finals at 1:20 p.m.
