Comets of the Week - March 24, 2025
The Co-Male Comets of the Week are baseball players Tyler Duncan, of Mount Pleasant, and graduate of Cedar Ridge (Texas) High School, and EJ Suggitt, of Kinross, and graduate of Rudyard High School. The duo helped Olivet sweep a doubleheader at Ohio Wesleyan University. Over the two games, Duncan had eight hits, with three doubles, one triple and two home runs for a 1.727 slugging percentage. He scored five runs and drove in 10 runs. Suggitt ended the doubleheader with six hits, including two doubles and a home run for a 1.222 slugging percentage. He also scored five runs and drove in eight runs.
Duncan’s 11 total bases in game one is the third-most by an UOlivet player since the 2003 season, and Suggitt’s five hits in game two make him the fifth Comet since 2003 to record five base hits in a game.
Both played in the first game of the doubleheader at Aquinas College. Duncan went 0-for-3, while Suggitt struck out in a pinch-hit appearance for his only at-bat.
