Comets of the Week - March 17, 2025

The Co-Male Comet of the Week is sophomore DeVondre Chandler, of Bath, and graduate of Bath High School. Chandler finished seventh in the high jump at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. He cleared the bar at 6 feet, 8-3/4 inches to earn First Team All-American honors. Chandler is now a two-time All-American selection.

The Co-Male Comet of the Week is sophomore Owen Fremeau, of Jackson, and graduate of Western High School. Fremeau placed 14th in the shot put at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. His throw of 55 feet, 7-1/2 inches earned him Second Team All-American honors.

The Co-Male Comet of the Week is senior Benyamin Kamali, of Lansing, and graduate of Detroit Catholic Central High School. Kamali posted a 3-2 record to finish seventh in the 125-pound bracket at the 2025 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships. The performance helped him earn All-American honors. Kamali’s wins were a pin in the second period, 12-5 decision and 10-4 decision. He finishes the 2024-25 season with a 30-4 record.
