Bio

As a student at Medway High School in Massachusetts you excelled in both football and track. You and your twin brother Richard were recruited by Owen Whitkopf and Coach Stu Parcell to play football at Olivet College, a sport you played all four years and lettered in three years. You also competed in track lettering all four years. Your athletic talent was recognized with designations as All MIAA in 1965 and 1966, National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Award-Football in 19665 and 1966, the Associated Press Award in 1965 and 1966 and the Michigan Small College All State Football Team Award in 1965 and 1966.

As a student you were prominent on campus as a member of Phi Alpha Pi Faternity and the Olivet College Economics Club. You also helped form a committee to bring a Catholic Chapel to Olivet. You earned a teaching degree from Olivet College with a major in economics in 1968. After Olivet you continued your studies at Northeastern University and earned certification in export management with the Massachusetts Port Authority.

Since 1979 you have served as president/treasurer of Paramount Industries, Inc. in Medway. you have also been an active citizen of your community a a charter member and president of the Medway Business Council, a member of the Board of Directors of the United Chamber of Commerce in Franklin, MA. For 12 years, a member of the Board of Directors of the Hockomock YMCA, chairman of the South Region of the United Way of Massachusetts, a trustee of the Sports Museum of New England, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Medway Co-Operative Bank. You have also been an active member of St. Joseph's Parish Church.

As an active fundraiser and supporter of athletic programs at Olivet College you have served your Alma Mater well. In 1992 you were honored with the Distinguish Alumni Award by the Olivet College Alumni Association.

Because of your outstanding abilities as an athlete as an alumnus and as a businessperson it is with great pride that this 16th day of Septmeber 2000 we induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame.
