Women’s cross country team finishes 36th at Pre-National Meet
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Running against some of the best NCAA programs, the Olivet College women’s cross country team finished 36th at the Pre-National Meet. The 6K race took place at the Forest Akers East Golf Course.

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Running against some of the best NCAA programs, the Olivet College women's cross country team finished 36th at the Pre-National Meet. The 6K race took place at the Forest Akers East Golf Course.
- Location: Forest Akers East Golf Course; East Lansing, Michigan
- Team Finish: 36th of 36 schools / 1,095 points
- University of Chicago (Ill.), ranked No. 3 in the most recent USTFCCCA Coaches Poll, had three of the top five runners to capture the women's team title with 59 points.
- No. 7-ranked University of Wis.-La Crosse took second with 106 points.
- Kassie Parker from Loras (Iowa) College won the race by nearly one minute, finishing the 6K course in 20:31.2.
- Sophomore Abbey Peters posted Olivet's fastest time at 25:55.5.
- Senior Savannah Baker was next at 26:57.8.
- Junior Allyson Stevens crossed the line in 27:42.1.
- Freshman Jamie Stiver had a time of 29:07.7.
- The Comets are idle until Friday, October 14, when they compete at the Concordia University-Ann Arbor Invitational.
