Schultz crosses line first in 5K at Olivet Opener
Running a 5K for the first time in school history, junior Allyson Schultz was the first runner to cross the finish line. The Olivet College women’s cross country team hosted Albion College and Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College for a unscored meet today at the Turkeyville Farm in Marshall.

MARSHALL, Mich. – Running a 5K for the first time in school history, junior Allyson Schultz was the first runner to cross the finish line. The Olivet College women's cross country team hosted Albion College and Saint Mary's (Ind.) College for an unscored meet today at the Turkeyville Farm in Marshall.
Schultz finished the race in 20:24.72, which was just under a minute faster than the second-place runner from Albion. Freshman Nicole Sebok was the next Olivet runner to finish, as she placed sixth at 21:48.41. Freshman Jessica Taylor had a strong finish in her first collegiate debut, finishing in 12th-place at 22:5.69.
The Comets return to competition Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Calvin College Knight Invitational.
