The University of Olivet places four women’s volleyball players on CSC Academic All-District® team
OLIVET, Mich. – Jaydn Cary, Morgan Dillon, Olivia DuFore and Emily Keeler represented The University of Olivet women's volleyball team on the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team, the organization announced today.
To be eligible to earn Academic All-District® honors, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point average and have significant athletic credentials. The student-athlete must have also competed in 90 percent of their school's matches OR have started at least 66 percent of its sets. In addition, nomination limits per institution are in place for each sport in which CSC sponsors an Academic All-District® team. For volleyball, each school can nominate up to four student-athletes.
Cary was the starting libero in all 26 matches. She finished the year with 437 digs, which ranks seventh for a season in school history, and served 31 aces. A middle hitter, Dillon saw action in 25 matches, recording 199 kills and .217 attack percentage. She also had a team-leading 53 total blocks (16 solo and 37 assisted) to go along with 27 service aces and 60 digs.
At outside hitter, DuFore played in 71 of 94 sets. She led the Comets with 37 service aces and was second with 212 kills. A defensive specialist, Keeler played in all 26 matches and 94 sets, and tallied 263 digs, 25 aces and 26 kills.
