The Olivet College volleyball team swept Finlandia University and University of Wis.-Platteville today on the second day of the Olivet-Albion Invitational inside The Cutler Event Center in Olivet.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College volleyball team swept Finlandia University and University of Wis.-Platteville today on the second day of the Olivet-Albion Invitational inside The Cutler Event Center in Olivet.

Records: Olivet 13-13 overall, Finlandia 6-21 overall
- The Lions scored the first two points of the opening set. Behind the service of junior Madelyn Notenbaum, the Comets went on a 7-0 run. Olivet did not give up the lead for the rest of the set.
- In the second set, Finlandia built a six-point cushion, 16-10. The Lions continued to hold the lead at 20-17. Olivet then put eight of the final nine points on the scoreboard to win the set, 25-21.
- Like the first two sets, Finlandia scored the first two points. The Comets answered with a 9-1 run and never relinquished their lead. The 15-point margin at the end matched Olivet's largest lead in the set.
- Junior Brittney Prince led all players with 14 kills.
- Sophomore Audrey Lama finished with four blocks.
- Notenbaum tallied team-highs in set assists (33) and digs (15).
- Junior Gabrielle Mundt and freshman Drue Mullin each had 13 digs.
- Shannon Anderson posted a team-high seven kills.
- Nicole Anderson recorded 22 set assists and 15 digs.

- The Comets led 14-6 in the first set. The Pioneers responded with nine consecutive points to go ahead for the first time 15-14. Three Olivet points made the score 17-15. Wis.-Platteville fought back to tie the score three times. After the last one at 23-23, two Pioneer errors gave the set to the Comets.
- The only time Olivet trailed in the both the second and third set was 1-0. The Comets' largest lead in the second set was 10 points at 18-8. The 10-point margin at the end of the third was their largest advantage.
- As a team, Olivet had a .216 attack percentage compared to .021 for the Pioneers.
- Prince topped the team with 14 kills and .423 hitting percentage.
- Junior Morgan Champion was next with nine kills, followed by Mullin with seven.
- Notenbaum dished out 28 set assists and served five aces.
- Notenbaum and sophomore Mia Parker each led the defense with seven digs.
- Katie Jones had a team-best seven kills.
- CJ Johnson recorded 11 set assists.
- Olivia Kudronowicz notched seven digs.
- Olivet resumes its conference schedule next Wednesday, Oct. 24, when it hosts Calvin College at 6:30 p.m.
