Mundt named MIAA Specialist of the Week for volleyball
Olivet College junior libero Gabrielle Mundt has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Specialist of the Week for volleyball.
FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College junior libero Gabrielle Mundt has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Specialist of the Week for volleyball.
Mundt helped the Comets post a perfect 4-0 record at the Beloit (Wis.) College "Buc Blast." She had a team-high 62 digs over the four matches and did not commit a serve receive error in 65 chances.
"I am very proud of Gabbi's performance this past weekend," said Olivet head volleyball coach Megan Merchant. "She played with a lot of confidence and it showed in both her defense and serve receive."
Olivet is back in action Friday and Saturday at the MIAA Preview Tournament, hosted by Calvin College. On Friday, the Comets face Alma College at 5 p.m., followed by a match against Saint Mary's (Ind.) College. On Saturday, they play Trine (Ind.) University at 11 a.m., followed by a match against the host Knights.
