Volleyball team splits two matches at Kenyon Tournament
The Olivet College volleyball team split two matches this evening at the Kenyon College Tournament in Gambier, Ohio. The Comets fell to Franklin (Ind.) College in five sets before beating Earlham (Ind.) College in three sets.

GAMBIER, Ohio – The Olivet College volleyball team split two matches this evening at the Kenyon College Tournament in Gambier, Ohio. The Comets fell to Franklin (Ind.) College in five sets before beating Earlham (Ind.) College in three sets.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets won the first set 25-23 before the Grizzlies won the next two sets by identical 25-20 scores to go up two sets to one.
- Olivet claimed a 25-22 win in the fourth set to force a deciding set, which Franklin won 15-7.
FOR THE COMETS
- Junior Allison Turner slammed down a match-high 15 kills.
- Freshman Madelyn Notenbaum had a double-double with 12 kills and a team-best 21 set assists.
- Freshmen Morgan Champion and Brittney Prince each had five blocks. Four of Champion's blocks were solo.
- Senior Mona Hinamanu was one of five players to reach double figures in digs with a team-best 23.
FOR THE GRIZZLIES
- Brooke Harvey recorded a team-high 14 kills.
- Ashley Bazier had 19 set assists.
- Libby Stahl collected 23 digs.

FOR THE COMETS
- For the match, the Comets had 37 kills with only nine attack errors on 95 attempts for a .295 hitting percentage.
- Prince led the way with nine kills, followed by Turner (8) and Champion (8).
- Prince also added six total blocks, with three solo, and hit at a team-best .438 clip.

- Ashleigh Burton led all players with 19 kills.
- Lauren Jackson contributed 30 set assists.
