Day 7: Safely back in Michigan
The Olivet College volleyball team is on a week-long trip to Grand Cayman for its preseason training. While there, the players will be writing blog posts and sending them back to the U.S.A. to be posted on the website. WEDNESDAY, AUG. 13 -- written by Gabrielle Bauer
After a long day of plane rides and layovers, we have finally made it back to Michigan. Trudging through the Detroit Metro Airport, suitcases dragging behind us, it is hard to think that just 12 hours ago we were in another country.
It is hard going from vacation mindset to prepping for preseason in two days. Just a week ago we all said goodbye to our parents and left for our journey. Many of the players were greeted by their parents at baggage claim. Warm embraces were given, but sadness comes upon most of us at the thought that we must leave our family again in a few days.
This was a trip of a lifetime, and we all could not be more grateful for the opportunity. Coach Megan did so much to make sure we were able to partake in such an incredible trip, and we can't begin to thank her enough. We are thankful for her and also very excited to see what this season is going to bring. Let's go OCVB!
