Volleyball team loses to #2 Calvin
The Olivet College volleyball team lost to Calvin College in three sets (25-10, 25-11, 25-10) this afternoon at Van Noord Arena in Grand Rapids. The defending NCAA Division III national runner-up entered the match ranked No. 2 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Preseason poll.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College volleyball team lost to Calvin College in three sets (25-10, 25-11, 25-10) this afternoon at Van Noord Arena in Grand Rapids. The defending NCAA Division III national runner-up entered the match ranked No. 2 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Preseason poll.
Senior Stefanie Lang (Valparaiso, Ind.) topped the Comets' front row with six kills, while junior Emma Brann (Ann Arbor/Pioneer) had five. Freshman Danielle Bearden (Goodrich) finished with 10 set assists. Senior libero Megan VanderVlucht (McBain) led the defense with 11 digs.
Olivet returns to the court next Wednesday, Sept. 11, when it hosts Saint Mary's (Ind.) College at 7 p.m.
