Volleyball team defeated by Hope in three sets
The Olivet College volleyball team was defeated by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Hope College in three sets (25-16, 25-10, 25-13) tonight at the DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland.

HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College volleyball team was defeated by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Hope College in three sets (25-16, 25-10, 25-13) tonight at the DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland.
Junior Tina Westendorp (Nashville/Maple Valley) topped the Comet offensive attack with eight kills. She was followed by freshman Marissa Guile (Williamston), who had four kills. Sophomore Taylor Pringle (Haslett) dished out eight set assists. Freshman Lydia Drikakis (Battle Creek/Lakeview) led the defense with eight digs.
Olivet will take the weekend off from MIAA play and participate in the DePauw (Ind.) University Tournament. On Friday afternoon, the Comets will play Millikin (Ill.) University at 4 p.m., and the host Tigers at 8 p.m. On Saturday, they will face Hanover (Ind.) College at 10 a.m., and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at noon.
