Volleyball team loses to Hope in three sets
The Olivet College volleyball team fell to defending Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) champion Hope College in three sets today at The Cutler Event Center in Olivet. The Flying Dutch won 25-13, 25-15, 25-20.

The Olivet College volleyball team fell to defending Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) champion Hope College in three sets today at The Cutler Event Center in Olivet. The Flying Dutch won 25-13, 25-15, 25-20.
Sophomore Kendra Cavin (Jackson/Hanover-Horton) and freshman Melanie Merchant (St. Joseph) each had six kills. Junior setter Jenessa Hicks (Union City) recorded 10 assists. Junior Morgan Iloncaie (Port Huron/Imlay City) posted 12 digs.
The Comets will travel to Greencastle, Ind., next Friday and Saturday, Sept. 18-19, to participate in the DePauw University Tournament. On Friday, they will play Millikin (Ill.) University at 4 p.m., and Rose-Hulman (Ind.) Institute of Technology at 6 p.m.
