Women’s Track and Field: Olivet takes first in four events, finishes third at Alma Triangular

ALMA, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's outdoor track and field team earned wins in four events to place third at the Alma College Triangular. The Comets totaled 101 points to finish behind Alma (127) and Albion (123).
- Senior Lily Connelly posted a first-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:30.54).
- Junior London Eldridge won the 400-meter hurdles (1:07.00) and was second in the 100-meter hurdles (16.35)
- Sophomore Sarah Grove had the fastest time in the 5,000-meter run (19:43.55). The time also ranks fourth all-time at Olivet.
- Junior Abbey Peters finished first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best time of 11:54.22.
- Junior Berniah Alexander recorded a personal best in the discus (102 feet, 3 inches) and season best in the hammer (106 feet, 9 inches). The discus performance is eight-best in school history.
- In the 400-meter run, freshman Aubrey Connelly clocked-in with a season-best time of 1:02.57 to finish second.
- Freshman Morgan Jeffries was second in the 100-meter dash in the ninth-quickest time in school history at 13.39 seconds.
- Sophomore Natalia Johnson took second in the 200-meter dash with the third-fastest time in Olivet history at 26.64 seconds.
- Senior Allyson Stevens placed second in the high jump, clearing the bar at the ninth-best mark in school history at 4 feet, 8-1/4 inches.
- Freshman Alyson Senish finished second in the javelin (82 feet, 6 inches).
- The 4x400-meter relay team of Aubrey Connelly, senior Tonya Tepin, Stevens and freshman Aaliyah Cota placed second (4:26.32).
- Olivet hosts the Comet Triangular next Saturday, April 6.
