Women’s Indoor Track & Field: Peters’ school record leads Olivet at SVSU Tune-Up

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – Junior Abbey Peters' school record in the mile run highlighted the University of Olivet women's track and field team at the Saginaw Valley State University Tune-Up Meet.
- Peters completed the mile run in 5:22.48 to break the school record.
- In the 600-meter run, freshman Aubrey Connelly posted a season-best time of 1:45.92, which is second-fastest in school history. Also, in the 600, senior Allyson Stevens had a personal-best time of 1:48.69 to rank third all-time.
- Junior London Eldridge ran a season-best time of 9.96 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles and matched her career-best with a time of 27.42 seconds in the 200-meter run.
- Sophomore Natalia Johnson had season-best times of 8.20 seconds in the 60-meter dash and 26.72 seconds in the 200-meter dash. Both times are second all-time at Olivet.
- Sophomore Sarah Grove posted the second-fastest time in school history for the 3,000-meter run at 11:19.77.
- Senior Tonya Tepin moved up to seventh all-time with a time of 1:04.13 in the 400-meter run.
- The Comets participate in the 2024 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Indoor Track & Field Championships next Saturday, February 24, hosted by Trine (Ind.) University.
