Women’s Indoor Track & Field: Five personal-bests at Jack Skoog Open

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The University of Olivet women's track and field team recorded five personal-bests, as the Comets kicked-off their indoor schedule today at the Central Michigan University / Jack Skoog Open.
- Freshman Morgan Jeffries led a 4-5-6 Olivet finish in the 60-meter dash. Her time was 8.27 seconds, followed by sophomore Natalia Johnson (8.42) and junior London Eldridge with a personal-best time of 8.44 seconds.
- Junior Emily Norkowski placed third in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.81 seconds. Eldridge was not far behind in fifth at 10.28 seconds.
- Junior Abbey Peters and senior Allyson Stevens recorded personal-bests in the 800-meter run at 2:29.76 and 2:34.35, respectively.
- Senior Tonya Tepin had a personal-best time of 1:05.52 in the 400-meter dash.
- Sophomore Michaela Nichols clocked-in with a personal-best time of 31.90 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
- Freshman Aubrey Connelly was fifth in the 600-meter run with a time of 1:49.84.
- The 4x400-meter relay quartet of Eldridge, Tepin, Stevens and senior Alex DeVault finished third in 4:25.89.
- Junior Berniah Alexander was just under her personal-best marks in the shot put (37 feet, 4 inches) and weight throw (38 feet).
- The Comets are back in action next Saturday, January 27, at the 2024 STEEMER Showcase, hosted by Wittenberg (Ohio) University.
