Women’s track and field team finishes fourth at Manchester Invitational

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Olivet College women's track and field team finished fourth of 12 schools today at the 2022 Manchester (Ind.) University Invitational. The Comets totaled 66 points.
- On the track, freshman London Eldridge had Olivet's top finish, as she was second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.13.
- Sophomore Taylor Wilsey ran the 100-meter dash in a season-best time of 13.78 seconds.
- Junior Gabby Jolliff captured first-place in the pole vault, clearing the bar at a personal-best mark of 10 feet, 4 inches.
- Also, in the pole vault, senior Taylor Thelen matched her personal-best at 7 feet, 2-1/2 inches to finish in third-place.
- The 4x100-meter relay quartet of Eldridge, Jolliff, Wilsey and sophomore Alex DeVault was second in 53.85 seconds.
- Senior Lillian Albaugh had season-best performances in the discus (117 feet, 9 inches) and hammer throw (111 feet, 3 inches).
- Freshman Berniah Alexander posted season-best marks in the discus (80 feet, 8 inches) and shot put (33 feet, 3-1/4 inches).
- Sophomore Allyson Stevens registered a personal-best in the javelin (92 feet, 8 inches).
- The Comets compete at the Don Kleinow Invitational, hosted by Siena Heights University, next Thursday, April 14.
