Track and field teams compete at SVSU Classic
The Olivet College track and field teams competed tonight at the Saginaw Valley State University Classic in University Center.
UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Olivet College track and field teams competed tonight at the Saginaw Valley State University Classic in University Center.
The top performance for the men's team was turned in by junior Blake Wilson who placed sixth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:22.15. Freshman Mark Smith was eighth in the same event with a time of 9:38.34. Junior Connor Bauserman finished in eighth-place in the mile run with a time of 4:29.24.
The best performance on the track for the women's team was done by junior Allyson Schultz, as she placed seventh in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:05.41. Freshman Kimberly Barberhad the fourth-best mark in the long jump at 16 feet, 5-3/4 inches.
The Comets are off until Friday, Jan. 29, when they participate in the Trine (Ind.) University/Don and Riley Zimmer Invitational in Angola, Indiana. Action starts at 5 p.m.
