Women’s tennis team cruises to 8-1 win over Concordia-Ann Arbor

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team beat Concordia University-Ann Arbor, 8-1, today at the Minges Creek Athletic Club.

Records: Olivet 5-4 overall, Concordia-Ann Arbor 1-5 overall
- The doubles flights were the first to play. The Cardinals had only five players, so the Comets earned a default win at No. 3 doubles. The two teams split the other two contested doubles flights. Olivet then won the five contested singles flights as well as picked-up the default win at No. 6 singles.
- The No. 2 doubles duo of sophomores Emily Foulk and Desiree Luque Pradas won an 8-0 pro-set.
- Senior Rose Kemmerling and sophomore Julia Miklusicak had the default win at No. 3 doubles.
- Pradas won 6-1, 7-5 at No. 1 singles.
- Senior Miranda Pier lost only three total games en route to a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles.
- Freshman Makenzie Borg won both her sets 6-4 for the straight set victory at No. 3 singles.
- Foulk and Miklusicak coasted to 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
- Kemmerling earned the default win at No. 6 singles.
- The Comets are idle until Saturday, March 21, when they host Grace Christian College. First serve is at 11 a.m., but the location of the match will not be determined until closer to the day of the match.
