Women’s tennis team begins spring schedule with 5-0 loss at Cornerstone
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Olivet College women’s tennis team began the spring portion of its 2019-20 schedule with a 5-0 loss to Cornerstone University this afternoon at the Grand Rapids Racquet and Fitness.

Records: Olivet 3-4 overall, Cornerstone 4-1 overall
- The Golden Eagles are an NAIA school, so its association scoring rules were used. Those rules are the team who wins 2-of-3 doubles flights receives one team point. The match is only played to completion, which means any singles flights still being played when a winner has been declared are treated as unfinished matches.
- In doubles, the No. 2 duo of sophomore Emily Foulk and junior Desiree Luque Pradas won the most games, losing 6-4.
- Pradas lost her first 7-6 at No. 1 singles before it was stopped.
- The Comets travel to play Indiana University-South Bend next Saturday, Feb. 22, starting at 4 p.m.
