Women’s tennis team defeats North Park, 6-3
The Olivet College women’s tennis team won 2-of-3 doubles and 4-of-6 singles flights to defeat North Park (Ill.) University, 6-3, this afternoon inside the Centre Court Athletic Club in Hanover Park, Illinois.

HANOVER PARK, Ill. – The Olivet College women's tennis team won 2-of-3 doubles and 4-of-6 singles flights to defeat North Park (Ill.) University, 6-3, this afternoon inside the Centre Court Athletic Club in Hanover Park, Illinois.

- The wins for the Comets came at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to go up 2-1. Olivet earned the win at No. 6 singles in straight sets before the Vikings won at No. 2 and No.3 singles to even the team score at 3-3.
- The Comets won a match tiebreaker to decide the outcome of two of the final three singles matches.
- At No. 1 doubles, the team of juniors Miranda Pier and Sydnie Weller won 8-6.
- Senior Rae Claramunt and sophomore Keely Cruz claimed an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles.
- Junior Alex Lesko did not lose any games to win a 6-0, 6-0 decision at No. 6 singles.
- Cruz posted a straight set win, 7-5, 6-1, at No. 4 singles.
- At No. 1 singles, Pier won her first set 6-0 before her opponent won the second set, 7-5. Pier earned the win with a 10-8 victory in the match tiebreaker.
- Freshman Emily Foulk recorded a 7-5 set one victory before her opponent won the set by a matching 7-5 score. Foulk claimed the match with a 10-7 win in the match tiebreaker.
- The Comets are now idle until Saturday, March 23, when they host Grace Christian College. The match at the Minges Creek Athletic Club gets started at 11 a.m.
