Women’s tennis: Comets drop close match to Baldwin Wallace, 5-4
The Olivet College women’s tennis team dropped a close match 5-4 match to Baldwin Wallace (Ohio) University this morning in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Olivet College women's tennis team dropped a close match 5-4 match to Baldwin Wallace (Ohio) University this morning at the Hilton Head Island Middle School in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
The Yellow Jackets and Comets split the six singles flights to start the match. BW won two of three doubles matches to earn its first win of the season.
In singles, freshman BreAnne Rudlaff won in straight sets 6-4 and 6-2 at the No. 4 position. Junior Lucy McNally claimed a 6-2 win in the first set before winning a set-tiebreaker 7-4 to win the set, 7-6, at the No. 5 position. Senior Devan Thomas coasted to a 6-0 and 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles.
The No. 3 doubles team of McNally and sophomore Isabel Snyder posted an 8-6 pro-set victory. The No. 1 duo of freshmen Blake Day and Maddy Drikakis lost 9-8 after falling 7-4 in the match-tiebreaker.
Olivet plays Stockton (N.J.) University tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.
