BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team opened its spring schedule with a 6-3 loss to University of Saint Francis (Ind.) this afternoon at the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek.
The Comets picked-up two of their points in doubles play. The No. 1 duo of freshmen Blake Day and Maddy Drikakis posted an 8-3 pro-set win. The No. 2 tandem of freshmen Haley Powers and BreAnne Rudlaff claimed an 8-4 pro-set victory. Olivet's third team point came at No. 4 singles where Rudlaff won in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-2.
The Comets return to the Minges Creek courts next Saturday for a non-conference match against Concordia University, starting at 1 p.m.
