Swimming: Olivet finishes sixth at MIAA Championship

HOLLAND, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's and women's swimming teams finished in sixth-place at the 2024 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship inside the Holland Aquatic Center. The Comet women ended the four-day meet with 224 points, while the Comet men totaled 213 points.
- Senior Jennifer Mann finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:19.74) and sixth in the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:23.73). The 200-yard breaststroke time broke the school record.
- Also, in the 200-yard breaststroke, sophomore Bridgette Shroll was eighth (2:35.89).
- In the 200-yard backstroke, junior Mya Kinnunen and freshman Sophia Spahr placed 15th (2:21.57) and 16th (2:22.18), respectively.
- The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Mann, Shroll, sophomore Kelsee Lawson and Kinnunen finished fourth among the A relays (3:53.95).
- Senior Erin Sanders took 13th-place in the 200-yard butterfly (2:52.76).
- Junior Landon Morgan won the consolation heat of the 200-yard breaststroke to place ninth (2:12.23).
- Junior Treyton Gabrielson took 10th in the 200-yard butterfly (2:02.84).
- In the 200-yard backstroke, senior Dylan Lyons and junior Seth Kading finished 13th (2:08.84) and 14th (2:10.36), respectively.
- Sophomore Matthew Brown was 12th in the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:40.64).
- The 400-yard freestyle quartet of Kading, Morgan, Lyons and Gabrielson placed fourth among the A relays (3:17.25).
