Swimming & diving teams complete day one of 2022 MIAA Championship
HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams have completed day one of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship at the Holland Aquatic Center.

HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's swimming & diving teams have completed day one of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship at the Holland Aquatic Center.
- In the evening's only event, the 800-yard freestyle relay, the team of junior Takato Timmerman, freshman Landon Morgan, junior Carter Moore and freshman Seth Kading placed fourth among the "A" relays with a time of 7:03.40. The time ranks No. 5 on the Olivet all-time top 10 list.
- The Comets' "B" relay team of sophomore Dylan Lyons, freshman Treyton Gabrielson, junior Chris Smith and junior Sebastian O'Leary clocked-in at 7:38.81.
- With 428.95 points, freshman Gavin Sutton scored the third-best total in the prelims of the one-meter diving. His score ranks No. 3 on Olivet all-time top 10 list.
- Freshman Spenser Keene will also compete in the one-meter diving finals after recording 317.70 points in the prelims.
- The 800-yard freestyle quartet of sophomore Jennifer Mann, freshman Ann Bourff, senior Kayla Eichaker and sophomore Kinsley Noel finished fifth among the "A" relays with a time of 8:53.11. Mann led off the relay with the second-fastest 200-yard freestyle time in school history at 1:54.38.
- Olivet's "B" relay team of junior Karley Wheeler, junior Kennedy Karns, freshman Jordan Kruskie and sophomore Erin Sanders finished in 9:48.76.
- Day two of the MIAA Championship begins tomorrow with preliminaries in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle and women's three-meter diving begins at 10 a.m. The finals in those events along with the 200-yard freestyle relay, 400-yard medley relay and men's 1-meter diving gets started at 5 p.m.
