Bio

Justin Loveless is in his first season as a full-time assistant soccer coach at The University of Olivet in 2023. His role on the coaching staff is an assistant coach for the women's program and the head coach for the men's reserve team.

Justin has 15 years of experience coaching club soccer in the Lansing area, currently working for Michigan Jaguars. A graduate of Mason High School, he played for the Comets in the 2005 season. Loveless played in 16 games, with 14 starts as well as scoring one goal and recording 20 shots. His only goal was the game-winner in a 2-1 decision at Adrian College.

"Justin is someone myself and Ross Anderson have worked with previously and wanted to work with at Olivet," said Olivet head coach Doug Carter. "As soon as the chance to hire him opened up, we both agreed he would fit in well with our staff and players. Justin is an excellent coach and mentor, and we know he will bring energy to the program and an extremely strong work-ethic."

“I am thrilled and appreciative to have the opportunity to give back to a school and athletics program that played a significant role in shaping my career," said Loveless. "Almost two decades ago, Olivet helped me discover my true calling in life. Now, I have come full circle and am dedicated to guiding other student athletes on their own journeys. My aim is to serve as a positive role model for this new generation. I hope to inspire them to not only excel as players, but also to grow into exceptional individuals. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate to have the support of incredible parents, friends, and coaches who have left a lasting impact on me. It is my hope that I can have the same kind of influence on our student athletes.”
