AUGUSTANA, Ill. – The Olivet College women's soccer team stepped out of conference play for the afternoon and lost 2-0 to Augustana (Ill.) College at Thorson-Lucken Field in Augustana, Illinois.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets out-shot the Vikings, 7-3, in the first half, but were losing 1-0 behind a goal off a corner kick in the 42nd minute.
- Augustana stretched its lead to 2-0 with a goal in the 62nd minute.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet recorded 14 shots in the game.
- Senior Madeline Maxwell posted a team-leading three shots.
- Seniors Miranda Quick and Emily Reinecke each had two shots.
- Freshman Brooklyn Holley played the first 66 minutes in goal and made one save. Freshman Samantha Gifford saw her first action of the season in the net and collected three saves in the final 24 minutes.
FOR THE VIKINGS
- Cameron Kekelik and Jordyn Sundberg netted the Augustana goals.
- Kekelik topped the team with four shots.
- Bailey Bradford picked-up the win in goal, making eight saves.
