Romanowski named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for women’s soccer
Olivet College freshman Ashley Romanowski has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for women’s soccer.
FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College freshman Ashley Romanowski has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer.
Romanowski played an integral role in leading the Comets to a 2-0 record last week, which helped move them into third-place in the MIAA standings with a 6-3-1 record. She started the week with three shots in a 2-1 win over Adrian College and then ended the week by recording eight shots, with a hat trick and assist in a 5-0 shutout win over Saint Mary's (Ind.) College. For the season, Romanowski has 10 goals and four assists for 24 points.
Olivet has its bye during the week, and will be back in action on Saturday afternoon against Alma College. Game time at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet is noon.
