ADRIAN, Mich. – The Olivet College women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 double overtime tie against Adrian College in its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener tonight at Docking Stadium in Adrian.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bulldogs took the early lead on a goal on a free kick from 25 yards out in the 13th minute.
- Sophomore Emma Essen tied the game for the Comets with 11 seconds remaining before halftime.
- Both teams had chances to score the go-ahead goal in both the second half and the overtime periods.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet finished the game with 18 total shots.
- Essen as well as junior Emily Reinecke and freshman Ashley Romanowski each had five shots.
- Freshman Brooklyn Burel played all 110 minutes in goal and had six saves.
FOR THE BULLDOGS
- Adrian recorded 20 shots.
- Sofia Farah scored the lone goal.
- Taylor Miller led the way with four shots.
