Morgan announces resignation as head women’s soccer coach
Olivet College Athletic Director Dave Sictherman announced the resignation of head women’s soccer coach Hans Morgan today. Morgan recently completed his 15th season as the head of the Comets’ program.
OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College Athletic Director Dave Sichterman announced the resignation of head women's soccer coach Hans Morgan today. Morgan recently completed his 15th season as the head of the Comets' program.
"I certainly want to thank Hans for his hard work and dedication during such a lengthy tenure of serving our college," said Sichterman. "He was an asset to the women's soccer program and its student-athletes who represented Olivet for the last 15 years."
During his tenure at Olivet, Morgan coached 12 players who earned 19 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) awards for their performance on the field. In addition, the Comets received 10 straight National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Awards and the MIAA Team GPA award the last two seasons for their performance in the classroom.
A national search will take place immediately to find Morgan's replacement.
