OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's soccer team scored two second-half goals to beat Rochester College, 2-0, in a non-conference game today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.
Sophomore Kelsey Dietzen netted the first goal only one minute and 52 seconds into the second half. Freshman Isabelle Leon found the back of the net in the 72nd minute after getting a pass from senior Brooke Leach.
Olivet had only five shots in the game, all by a different player. Three goalkeepers combined for the shutout. Junior Deanna Zolnoski played the first half, facing six shots and making four saves. Sophomore Kori Ramirez started the second half to earn the win. She played 42 minutes and 24 seconds, and made two saves. Freshman Jennifer Elliston finished the game in net and collected one save.
The Comets resume Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play Tuesday, Oct. 14, at home against Kalamazoo College at 4 p.m.
