ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 double overtime draw against Trine (Ind.) University today at Weaver Field in Angola.
The game was a battle of both team's defenses, as the two teams combined for only 19 total shots and placing only seven on-goal. Olivet's best scoring chance came in the fifth minute of the first overtime period. Off a corner kick by senior Nicole Borek, freshman Emily Reinecke sent a shot towards the goal, but it was saved by Trine's keeper.
Reinecke and junior Jeanette Fisher each had two shots for the Comets. Junior Deanna Zolnoski played all 110 minutes in goal and made three saves.
Olivet (2-4-2, 0-4-1 MIAA) hosts Saint Mary's (Ind.) College Saturday afternoon at noon.
