ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College women's soccer team fell to Alma College, 1-0, at Scotland Yard in Alma.
The game was a defensive battle for the entire game. The only goal was scored in the 87th minute. Allysen Neumann launched a shot from the top of the 18. The shot hit the cross bar, bounced onto the ground and into the net.
The Comets finished the game with only five total shots, with sophomore Kelsey Dietzen and freshman Isabelle Leon each placing one on net. The Scots took 28 shots, but only five were on-goal. Junior Deanna Zolnoski made four saves.
Olivet travels to play Trine (Ind.) University next Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 4 p.m.
