Olivet College junior Davon Jackson placed eighth in the 165-pound bracket at the 2017 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships held inside the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Olivet College junior Davon Jackson placed eighth in the 165-pound bracket at the 2017 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships held inside the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

After posting a 2-1 record in Friday's action, Jackson suffered 16-0 loss to Lucas Jeske from Augsburg (Minn.) College. He then fell to No. 8 seed Andrew Steiert from Wartburg (Iowa) College, 11-3, in the seventh-place match.

With the performance, Jackson is the 24th wrestling All-American in school history.
