Brackets released for 2017 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships
Olivet College senior Austin Kelley is the lone Comet to earn a top-eight seed for the 2017 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships Friday and Saturday at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Also competing will be Davon Jackson and Jesse Judge.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Olivet College senior Austin Kelley is the lone Comet to earn a top-eight seed for the 2017 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships Friday and Saturday at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Kelley won the NCAA Midwest Regional title with a 4-0 record, including a 5-3 victory over Griffin Schermer from Wabash in the championship match. He enters the weekend with an 18-3 record and is currently riding a 15-match winning streak. Kelley has received the No. 6 seed in the 141-pound bracket and will face Aaron Engle from Cornell College (Iowa) in the first round.
After finishing as the NCAA regional runner-up at 285 pounds, Jesse Judge enters the championships with a 20-8 record and is back to the national championships for a second straight year. Four of his losses this season were against either an NCAA Division I or II wrestler. Judge will wrestle John Georges from Rhode Island College in one of two pigtail matches. The winner will then face No. 8 seed Austin Bellile from Milwaukee School of Engineering (Wis.) in the first round.
Junior Davon Jackson enters the national tournament with a 24-10 record after placing third in 165-pound bracket at the NCAA regional. Thirteen of his wins have been pins. In the opening round, Jackson will face No. 3 seed Stephen Jarrell from Johnson & Wales University (R.I.).
