OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's lacrosse team fell to Kalamazoo College, 18-3, tonight at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hornets raced out to a 9-0 lead.
- The Comets got on the scoreboard for the first time with 16:43 left in the first half when junior Sabrina Butler scored an unassisted goal.
- Kalamazoo netted the final three goals of the first half for a 12-1 halftime lead.
- The Hornets scored the first six goals of the second half to build an 18-1 lead.
- Junior Paige Harcourt scored on a free-position attempt and junior Ca'Tina Lewis tallied a goal for Olivet's last two goals.
FOR THE COMETS
- Olivet finished the game with only three shots, and scored on each attempt.
- Freshman Kea Kunz caused five turnovers and scooped-up four ground balls.
- Senior Keri Hettinger made nine saves, while playing all 60 minutes in goal. She also recorded four ground balls.
FOR THE HORNETS
- Three players had eight points apiece.
- Rachel Madar led the way with six goals and two assists for her eight points. She also won 15 of the 20 draw controls.
- Lilly Baumann had five goals and three goals, and Amanda Moss had the reverse with three goals and team-high five assists.
- Katie Johnson and Gwen Davis split time in goal. Johnson played the first half, while Davis played the second half.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Kunz's five caused turnovers matches Olivet's single-game record.

- The 2018 season comes to end Saturday when the Comets make the trip for a 1 p.m. game at Alma College.
