ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College women's lacrosse team was upended by Trine (Ind.) University, 20-3, this evening at the Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium in Angola, Indiana.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Thunder scored the first 10 goals.
- The Comets got on the scoreboard with 6:41 left before halftime when junior Sabrina Butler tallied an unassisted goal.
- Trine added three more goals to lead 13-1 at halftime.
- The Thunder stretched their lead to 15-1 before Olivet scored two a pair of goals. Butler had the first goal and then assisted on a goal by senior Stephanie Robinson.
- Trine netted the final five goals of the game.
FOR THE COMETS
- Butler paced Olivet with two goals, one assist, three points, five shots (all on-goal) and seven draw controls.
- Senior Katie Ordiway had a pair of draw controls.
- Senior goalie Keri Hettinger recorded 13 saves.
FOR THE THUNDER
- Kristin John finished with a team-leading five goals.
- Rebecca Plantz had three goals and team-high four assists for a match-high seven points.
- Kiersten Osowski and Renee Bock each had a hat trick (three goals).
- Audrey Poteet picked-up the win in goal. She played the first half and had one save. Emily Morthorst was in the cage for the second half and collected three saves.
UP NEXT
- Olivet welcomes the Adrian College Bulldogs to the Cutler Athletic Complex Saturday for a noon game. It will be the first game of a lacrosse doubleheader, as the Comet men host Trine after the women's game at 4 p.m.
